Getting Started​

​​Open BeigeLock#

1. Receive a QR code from the owner (see Generate QR code)

2. Press & Hold the "Power" button on the BeigeLock

3. Scan the QR code with the reader while the "Power LED" light is steady

   • If the QR code is correct, the Beigelock will open before the "Power LED" lights up again after the beep.

   • If the QR code is not correct, the Beigelock will not open, but the "Power LED" light will still turn on again after the beep.

Generate QR code#

1. Visit https://www.beigeapp.com/beigelock with a phone browser

2. Click the "QR Code for Unlock" button

3. Enter the Passcode (default: 123456)

4. Input the current Date and Time

5. Select Long-Term or Short-Term mode 

   • Short-Term mode Example: To allow access on July 4, between 16:00 and 18:00, select Short-Term mode, set the valid start time to July 4 at 16:00 the duration to 120 min.

   • Long-Term mode Example: To allow access between July 4 00:00 and August 3, 23:59, select Long-Term mode, set the valid start date to Jul 4 the duration to 31 days.

   • Combined Example: To allow access between July 4 12:00 and July 7 12:00, select Long-Term mode and set the valid start date to July 5 with a duration of 2 day. Then, generate 2 Short-Term QR codes:

     • First one is for Jul 4 12:00 to 23:59

     • Second one is for Jul 7 00:00 to 12:00

6. Input the Duration for the QR Code

7. Click "Generate QR Code" (ensure the browser allows pop-ups for the QR code to display.)

8. Send the QR code to the client

Power and Charging#

1. Charge the "Main Battery"

   • Remove the Battery Cover

   • Connect a power charger with a Type C cable to the "Main Battery"

2. Replace the Real Time Battery

   • Open the BeigeLock

   • Unscrew the "Setup Screw" and pull down the cover to access the Real Time Clock module

   • Replace the "Real Time Clock Battery"
